Independent asset managers

Your job is managing assets. Not administration

We take over your firm’s back office, from reporting to client files. You keep portfolio management, the relationship and regulatory responsibility.

What weighs on your firm

Reporting scattered across custodians

Positions, transactions and fees arrive in as many formats as there are banks. Consolidating them takes days at every quarter-end.

Client files to keep current

Anti-money laundering rules require you to check periodically that every file is up to date, at a pace set by the risk of the relationship.

Reviews to prepare

Audit, report to the supervisory organisation: every review means gathering documents spread across several tools.

A small team wearing many hats

In a firm of a few people, every hour of administration is an hour less with clients.

What we take over

You keep portfolio management, the client relationship, compliance and regulatory responsibility. We prepare, check and deliver files ready for your approval.

  • Consolidated multi-custodian reporting

Consolidation of each bank’s statements and preparation of client reports: portfolio composition, performance and costs.

  • Reconciliations

Securities, cash and transactions reconciled between your tools and the custodian banks' statements, differences documented.

  • Fee billing

Management and performance fees calculated according to each mandate’s terms, invoices ready to send.

  • Retrocession tracking

A per-client record of compensation received from third parties, to document the disclosure given and the waiver or pass-through.

  • KYC updates

Risk-based review schedule, reminders, document collection and files prepared for approval by your AML officer.

  • FinSA client profiles

Financial situation, objectives, knowledge and agreed services documented and kept current, client by client.

  • Account openings

Onboarding files and custodian bank forms prepared, for you and your clients to sign.

  • Audit and SO preparation

Documents, registers and lists gathered in advance for the audit or the report to your supervisory organisation.

  • Management dashboards

Assets under management, revenue, KYC deadlines and consolidated indicators, kept current for your decisions.

The discretion of your business, applied to ours

Your clients entrust you with their wealth. The professional secrecy of the Financial Institutions Act (FinIA) extends to an asset manager’s agents: it binds every person working on your mandate.

  • Professional secrecy

Every person assigned to your mandate commits in writing to secrecy, including after the mandate ends.

  • A complete delegation agreement

Responsibilities, sub-delegation, reporting and audit rights, including for your audit firm, your supervisory organisation and FINMA.

  • No power over assets

No power of attorney, no write access, no payment orders: we work from read-only statements and exports.

  • Data in Switzerland or the EU

You choose where your data is stored. No other subcontractor is involved without your prior consent.

Questions independent asset managers ask

Do you have access to our clients' accounts?

Never with any power of disposal: no power of attorney, no orders, no payments. We work from the statements and exports you provide, read-only.

Who remains responsible towards the supervisory organisation and FINMA?

You do. An asset manager who delegates remains responsible for the delegated tasks. Our role is to give you what you need to exercise that oversight: tasks defined by contract, regular reporting, full right of inspection.

Can you act as our compliance function?

No. We prepare the files and documents; compliance and risk management stay with you or a qualified provider of your choice. We never perform the compliance review (KYC, AML) of files we prepared ourselves.

Can you work with several custodian banks?

Yes, that is the most common case: we consolidate statements whatever the number of institutions and formats.

Do we need to change our portfolio management software?

No. Expersoft, Allocare, Assetmax or a simple spreadsheet: we work with your tools and your banks' exports.

Let’s talk about the process that costs you the most time.

30 minutes to take stock, with no commitment. You leave with an initial diagnosis of your process.
